Lemon Quartz ★ Ghost Flower Pendant

The Ghost Flowers limited edition drop is a series of 8 one-of-a-kind pendants set with precious stones and featuring cast flowers inspired by vintage herbariums and 16th century emblem books, both of which are recurring inspirations at the studio.

Emblem books collected allegorical illustrations with accompanying texts or mottos intended to inspire their readers to reflect on a general moral lesson derived from the reading of both picture and text together. Emblem books descended from medieval bestiaries that explained the importance of animals, proverbs, and fables.

The pendants feature real flowers that have been picked in nature before being dried in a herbarium, then cast using the lost wax casting technique. The rectangular medallions are set with precious gems in an array of colours. The back of each pendant features a handwritten motto: “Only the sun”, which calls to mind the allegorical emblems of the past, as well as memento mori jewelry which is another constant inspiration of ours.
